Opportunities
I’m always glad to hear from people at any career stage who want to dig into questions about water, landscapes, and time — reach out, even if you’re not sure you fit neatly into one of the categories below.
Undergraduate
I’m always interested in hearing from motivated undergraduate students looking to work on projects in hydrology or geomorphology. This is open to majors beyond Earth and Environmental Science! Students in civil engineering, physics, or computer science are especially encouraged to reach out as well.
Please email me with your goals and interests. Temple has several funding opportunities for undergraduate research that may be a good fit, given enough lead time before deadlines — I’m happy to support motivated students through these programs and help with application materials.
Graduate
I’m actively recruiting PhD students for Spring or Fall 2027. These positions are broadly defined, so your own curiosities and interests are welcome.
Please email me with a brief introduction, your CV or resume, and a short statement of research interests. For more on the admissions process and degree requirements in the Department of Earth and Environmental Science, see:
- Temple Graduate Admissions – Requirements and How to Apply
- Earth and Environmental Science (EES) Graduate Program
Postgraduate
I don’t currently have funding for a postdoctoral position, but I’m happy to talk with prospective postdocs about pursuing externally funded fellowships that align with the lab’s work.
Please email me with your CV or resume and a brief description of your objectives.
Visitors
The more the merrier! Whether for a few weeks or a whole semester, visiting during graduate or postgraduate studies can be a great way to pick up new tools and techniques and expand your network. If there’s something you’d like to learn here, you’re welcome.
Please email me with your CV or resume and a bit about what you’re hoping to get out of a visit.
